Senior Site Engineer Residential Development Project Location: Dublin 8, Ireland Salary: €75,000 - €85,000 per annum About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a major new €100M residential development project in Dublin 8. The first phase of the project will involve the construction of over 450 residential units, with works scheduled to continue for the next four years. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Site Engineer to play a key role in the successful delivery of a large-scale residential development and to contribute to the growth and success of a leading main contractor. Key Responsibilities: Lead the engineering team on-site, overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring the successful delivery of the project. Manage the site set-out, survey, and coordination of engineering activities to ensure works are completed in accordance with design, specifications, and contract requirements. Provide technical support and guidance to the project team, subcontractors, and site staff to ensure quality standards are met. Work closely with the Project Manager to monitor the projects progress and address any issues or risks that may arise. Oversee the quality control processes, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards and complies with regulatory requirements. Ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget, tracking progress and providing regular updates to senior management. Assist in the coordination of resources, including materials, equipment, and subcontractors, ensuring they are available and properly utilised to maintain the project schedule. Monitor and enforce health and safety procedures on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and contractors. Liaise with the design team, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and make any necessary adjustments to the design. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of site activities, including progress reports, site diaries, and quality assurance documentation. Support the Project Manager in managing project documentation, including contracts, variations, and change orders. Key Requirements: A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. At least 5-7 years of experience as a Site Engineer, with a proven track record in large-scale residential projects. Experience managing or coordinating teams on large, complex construction projects, particularly in the residential sector. Strong technical knowledge of construction processes, engineering design, and quality control. Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills, with the ability to oversee multiple aspects of the project simultaneously. In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and their implementation on-site. Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Proficiency in project management and engineering software, such as Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, or similar tools. A proactive, detail-oriented, and organised approach to project management.
