As Senior Audit Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading the Audit and Accounts team, ensuring high-quality service delivery while mentoring and developing talent. Key Responsibilities of Senior Audit Manager:
* Lead, mentor, and manage the Audit and Accounts team, ensuring effective resource allocation and skills development.
* Conduct periodic performance appraisals and provide professional development opportunities.
* Foster a high-performance culture that prioritises technical excellence and client service.
* Oversee all audit engagements, ensuring compliance with professional standards and deadlines.
* Review statutory financial statements and accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
* Ensure corporation tax returns are accurately reviewed and filed within deadlines.
* Stay up to date with evolving financial reporting standards, including UK GAAP, FRS 102, IFRS, and ISA’s.
* Maintain and develop strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
* Identify client needs, offer tailored solutions, and cross-sell services (e.g., tax, advisory).
* Support business development efforts by attending prospect meetings, preparing proposals, and contributing to new client acquisition.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless client experience.
* Ensure efficient recoverability of work in progress and achieve monthly billable work targets.
* Contribute to the strategic direction of the firm, identifying opportunities for growth and process improvement.
* Ensure compliance with the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct.
Skills & Experience of Senior Audit Manager:
* Qualified ACCA, ACA, or CPA with significant audit and accounts experience.
* Proven ability to lead audits, manage client relationships, and develop high-performing teams.
* Strong technical knowledge in UK GAAP, FRS 102, IFRS, and ISA’s.
* Commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
* Tech-savvy, proactive, and motivated by a fast-paced environment.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent planning and organisational ability.
