We are seeking a Senior Engineer to provide advanced technical and engineering support to a project or function. This engineer will have the required engineering competencies and systems training to support a manufacturing area or project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Value Centred Engineering: Application of a prioritised approach toward achieving key opportunities in quality, service and cost
* Collaboration with Engineering leaders to deliver business objectives
* Development of a world-class manufacturing group proficient in process improvement and problem solving using Six-Sigma tools
* Providing technical leadership on product and process issues
* Line performance monitoring and structured event plans for remediation of systemic issues
* Implementation of supporting documentation, SOPs, and process work instructions compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
* Leading technical improvements under the business's Continuous Improvement Program (CIP)
* Process transfer and implementation from development or other manufacturing facilities
* Technical leadership and guidance for Process / maintenance Technicians and Manufacturing / Equipment Engineers
* Engineering support for new Product and new process introduction
* Process validation, Gauge R&R studies, and structured problem solving
* Project management, including scoping, approval, budgeting, specification, execution, qualification, and operational handover
* Cross-functional team collaboration and vendor interface
* Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence
* Ongoing monitoring and reporting of business performance metrics
* Adherence to Environment Health and Safety (EHS) requirements
* Subject Matter Expert role for Regulatory Audit purposes
* Out-of-hours support as required
Requirements:
* Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience
* Proven Project Management skills through delivery of business critical projects
* 2-4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
* Strong communication and influencing skills
* Technical leading and influencing abilities
* Analytical and problem-solving skills, process improvement orientation, and multitasking ability
* Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills
* Able to work autonomously and collaboratively
* Flexible approach, technological pioneer, and effective decision maker
* Proficiency in English
