Electrical Build Technician
The Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Build Technician to join our client's team. In this hands-on role, you will report directly to the Machine Build Coordinator or the designated department leader.
Your primary responsibility will be the electrical panel build and field wiring of automated equipment used in the manufacture of life-saving medical devices for global clients. You will have the opportunity to work on bespoke machines, contributing to every stage of the project, from design and build to installation and commissioning. You'll also gain exposure to the latest automation technologies.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic drawings and schematics
2. Complete Panel Build Assembly, Panel Wiring, and Field Wiring systems
3. Ensure the build quality of each project
4. Assist with key project milestones, such as power-up, IO checks, safety resets, and quality checks
5. Develop an understanding of key project milestones and ensure they are completed to specification
6. Test, troubleshoot, debug, and validate equipment performance, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and technical specifications
7. Complete all required documentation
8. Inspect drawings for clarity and collaborate with electrical design engineers
9. Meet agreed time-lines and quality targets for assigned work
10. Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
11. Provide accurate duration and effort estimates for planned builds
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Level 6 qualification in an Electrical Discipline (or equivalent experience) is desirable
2. 2+ years of experience in a similar role

1. Strong attention to detail with a flair for precise and neat work
2. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
3. Interest in troubleshooting and problem-solving
4. Effective time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
5. Proactive and solutions-focused with excellent organisational skills
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work well in team settings
7. Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
8. Enjoy working in a dynamic and results-oriented team environment
9. Excellent interpersonal skills
