We are recruiting Residential Rehabilitation Assistants to join our team at Acquired Brain Injury Ireland. Our mission is to support people with acquired brain injury in Ireland, empowering them to rebuild their lives and maximise their abilities.
About the Role
The Residential Rehabilitation Assistant will work with individuals to plan and direct their lives, meeting needs identified in their individual rehabilitation plan and supporting outcomes that are meaningful to the person.
* Form a therapeutic relationship with the person served and maintain a positive constructive and professional relationship.
* Facilitate daily independence within the service/community by working with the person and their family to formulate their Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRP).
* Assist and encourage the person to achieve their goals as identified in their IRP.
* Support the person with budgeting, money management and disability benefits where applicable.
* Develop and encourage skills for gaining employment and leisure activities.
Essential Criteria
* A relevant Health or Social Care qualification to a minimum QQI Level 5 standard.
* A full driving licence.
* A person-centred approach to supporting people with an acquired brain injury.
* Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
* Ability to write and speak English to a high standard.
* Good IT skills.
