About the Role - This role is pivotal within the Commercial department, one that focuses on managing the financial and contractual aspects of a facades project. The role will have full responsibility for monitoring and working on building projects ensuring that jobs are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards. The role will involve managing schedules of works, ensuring that each phase of the build is completed as planned and liaising with the client.
Responsibilities
1. Validation of all tender and construction budgets to ensure strict compliance to agreed margins
2. Analyse construction drawings and specifications to identify labour, material, and specialist requirements
3. Review timings, budget, labour, risk and project plans to set commercial budgets and site labour targets
4. Work closely with the procurement division to manage the procurement process from inception to completion
5. Responsibility of completing full measuring
6. Complete monthly valuations through to final account
7. Liaise with clients to agree rates/variations and cost analysis
8. Provide accurate and robust monthly reports for CVR and Client Progress Meetings
9. Attend and participate in Site Progress Meetings
Qualifications - Qualification to Degree level in Quantity Surveying /another related discipline or proven relevant related experience in similar role with a knowledge of facades.
Required Skills
1. Excellent level of awareness and competence in assessing Bill of Quantities and Contract requirements
2. Articulate, pro-active with excellent commercial acumen and communication skills
3. Ability to demonstrate initiative whilst working in a team environment
4. Proficient in all Microsoft packages
