OT Systems Engineer - County Mayo - 12-Month Contract
Located on the picturesque west coast of Ireland, our Global pharmaceutical client is looking for a OT Systems Engineer to join their state of the art pharmaceutical facility.
Located in the historic province of Connacht neighbouring the pond that is the Atlantic Ocean, breeds a mix of Irish culture and modernisation in the popular seaside town rife with bars, restaurants and water sports.
Responsibilities :
1. Support of Operating System platforms and OT software applications
2. Provision of technical support and direction to Manufacturing Operations, Validation Engineers, and IT support staff as part of Manufacturing project support and project execution including transfer to production.
3. Provision of support for root cause problem solving and the implementation of CAPA’s.
4. Assist with design and build of secure, robust, highly available fit‐for‐purpose and future proofed application environments.
5. Follow the OT lifecycle management processes that meet or exceed regulatory expectation in respect of data integrity: data backup regimes and system recovery testing.
6. Creation of technical documents required to complete SDLC document set, and knowledge articles required by Tier 2 and Tier 3 support teams.
7. Support any safety or quality initiatives that require Operational Technology support.
8. Support cost savings initiatives onsite and within the Automation team
9. Participate in departmental and customer project status update meetings.
10. Support operational excellence activities to continuously improve our processes and eliminate waste.
Qualifications :
11. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Engineering, or related discipline / equivalent experience.
12. 3 to 5 years’ experience delivering IT services preferably within the Pharmaceutical and/or
13. medical device industry.
14. System Admin Windows 10 and Windows Server //
15. Expertise in the following technologies: SCADA, Historian, Thin Client Manager, Active Directory and group policy permissions, XML/XSL, SQL DBA and the development of SQL Queries, Stored Procedures and Reporting.
16. Extensive experience delivering automation projects (PLC and SCADA).
17. Aseptic processing and or packaging equipment experience.
18. Experience with delivering complex projects, ideally related to manufacturing modernisation / manufacturing system upgrades to support business critical process equipment.
19. Good analytical skills and a proven ability to problem solve and identify CAPAs for deviations relating to bugs, failures, and non‐conformances
