Energy Lead - International Consultancy
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Energy Lead to join our international consultancy team. As a key member of our Net Zero Energy and Power Business, you will be responsible for leading the functional management of this business in Ireland.
You will work closely with clients across the energy sector, including TSOs, private renewable energy developers, and government agencies. Your expertise will be essential in understanding the energy marketplace and aligning with client business plans.
You will identify new business opportunities through customer and market intelligence, building strong professional networks and relationships with various clients. You will also undertake competitor analyses, develop strategic partnerships, and review national energy and power policy to understand client aims.
You will participate in strategic planning with our leadership team, developing growth plans for the Net Zero Energy Business. Management of programme and framework budgets will also be a key responsibility.
You will represent our client globally, including the UK, Middle East, Canada, and North America. You will own technical responsibility for project quality, design standards, and delivery processes.
You will provide technical support to clients and represent our company as a Subject Matter Expert on Net Zero Energy & Power. You will also provide management, motivation, inspiration, and technical leadership for the Energy Team.
Requirements:
We are looking for a Chartered Engineer with 10+ years' experience in delivering renewable energy and power infrastructure. You should have specific experience in delivering infrastructure for renewable energy and grid clients and demonstrable knowledge of renewable energy and power systems.
You must be active in the energy industry in Ireland, with business connections across the sector. A strategic thinker with business acumen and project finance oversight is essential. Knowledge of the Irish renewables marketplace, key clients, partners, and delivery methods is also required.
You should be a self-starter requiring limited oversight, reporting to our Senior Leadership Team (SLT). Effective team building and collaboration skills are necessary, along with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Package:
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of €100k - €130k depending on experience, plus an excellent benefits package including pension, bonus, and 25 days holidays. Flexible / hybrid working, car allowance, and pension are also included.
