Electrical Site Foreman
Colin Burke Electrical Ltd. has been involved in the electrical trade for over 20 years, specialising predominantly in commercial and industrial projects. Due to our continued expansion, we are seeking to recruit experienced Electrical Site Foremen to join our growing team across the Galway region.
The Site Foreman will be responsible for scheduling, co-ordinating and supervising the work of all site staff, ensuring that all work is delivered safely, on time and within budget along with managing equipment and materials required.
Responsibilities
1. Coordinate tasks accordingly to meet project priorities and plans
2. Allocate general and daily responsibilities to site staff
3. Produce schedules and monitor attendance of staff
4. Supervise and train staff, as required, with particular emphasis on providing the required level of coaching to apprentice level staff
5. Ensure manpower and resources are adequate to meet site demands
6. Guarantee all quality standards are met in line with requirements
7. Supervise the use of machinery and equipment, as required
8. Act as the escalation point for any staff issues onsite, resolve problems when they arise
9. Organise the supply of materials, tools and equipment to facilitate progression of works within the contract timeframes
10. Provide sufficient notice to the Purchasing Team to enable timely delivery of goods
11. Report on progress to project managers, engineers etc.
12. Champion safety implementation on site
Education & Skills Required
1. An electrical trade qualification is essential
2. Minimum 3+ years in a supervisory role in an electrical contracting company
3. Ability to manage subcontractors and large teams of electricians
4. Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
5. Excellent organisational and leadership skills
6. Ability to communicate and report effectively
