An exciting opportunity now exists to join the Care Services Team in Mowlam Healthcare. We are currently seeking a Quality & Compliance Coordinator.
The Quality & Compliance Coordinator reports to the Healthcare Manager and is accountable to the Director of Care Services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Quality & Compliance Coordinator will:
* Support the HCM and PIC in fostering a culture of safety and quality, promoting rights and the protection/safeguarding of residents in the centre.
* Support the HCM in managing the regulatory challenges and ensuring delivery of all key quality and compliance performance measures in each centre.
* Complete Quality & Compliance peer reviews.
* Complete Quality & Safety risk profile trackers: Monitor HIQA and Q&S QIP Reviews.
* Review implementation of SIMT recommendations.
* Monitor implementation of HIQA Compliance Plans.
* Complete Care Plan reviews.
* Monitor Fire Safety QIP implementation.
* Review incidents, complaints, risk register, audits to ensure they are completed and that appropriate Corrective & Preventative Action Plans have been implemented.
* Monitor notifiable incidents in each centre.
* Provide staff Regulatory Competency Development support.
* Participate in continuous personal learning, training and updating of skills particularly in related areas of risk management, safety, HIQA regulations, and quality improvement systems, process and structures.
* Develop, monitor, analyse and report on all relevant data in relation to the Quality & Safety business intelligence to support effective safety governance within Mowlam Healthcare group.
* Attend and support with monthly meetings.
Skills, Attributes, Qualifications:
* High level of flexibility is a central requirement in this new role in the ever-changing health and social care environment in response to frequent emerging challenges and regulatory developments.
* Requires a high level of personal motivation to drive a safe and highly reliable health and social care in residential services for vulnerable older people.
* Must have a personal passion for sustaining the highest standards, meeting regulatory requirements and always promoting best practices.
* At least 3 years experience in management within the older persons sector or management experience in a relevant compliance or quality role.
* This role will require travel.
