Support Staff - Waterford Area (near Lismore)
Duties will be part-time, up to 70 hours per four weeks, on a residential roster.
We are seeking an individual to provide individualised support services for a lady living in her own home.
This role involves working with the lady within her own home, as part of a team, and in partnership with her and her natural support network.
To be successful in this position, you must possess:
* Relevant experience in individualised ways of working through a rights-based lens
* Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and sensory impairments
* The ability to discover and support the individual's abilities and interests, enabling them to participate in positive social roles within their community
* A creative, innovative, flexible, and person-centred approach to support
* Excellent interpersonal, listening, planning, and organisational skills
* The ability to partner and liaise effectively with others
* A willingness to adapt working hours based on the lady's support requirements
Desirable qualities include:
* A full, clean, current driving licence
* A relevant qualification (minimum QQI level 5 major award)
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the lady with all activities of daily living within her home
* Assisting with social outings and life activities
* Motivating the lady to enhance her quality of life
* Working in partnership with the lady, her family, and other stakeholders
