Enviro Grind Ltd is a cross border Environmental Reprocessing company based in Pettigo, close to the Fermanagh and Tyrone borders.
At the forefront of our industry, we deal with a variety of organic waste streams turning them into valuable commodities.
The Environmental Officer role interacts with staff and management of the various departments within the company and liaises with external parties such as Environmental, Health & Safety consultants and other regulatory bodies.
The role requires an enthusiastic person with EHS qualifications, or proven experience in a similar position.
Responsibilities: Monitorandmaintaincompliancewiththecompanyscertifications,permitsandlicence requirements, specifically NSAIISOcertifications-ISO14001 Environment, ISO9001 Qualityand ISO45001 Health& Safety - and prepare for regular NSAI audits.
BSIPAS100:2018certificationfor Composted Materials.
Waste Facility & Collection Permits and Composting Approval.
Performinternalauditsanduseexistingintegratedmanagementsystemstoreview,monitor, update and implement Environmental, Quality and Health & Safety policy, procedures and processes.
Liaisewithexternal Environmentaland Health &Safety Consultantsandotherregulatory authorities.
Createandmaintainenvironmentalreportsasrequiredbythemanagementsystemandforauditing and annual return purposes.
Deliver training programmes such as Health & Safety inductions for new employees or sub- contractorsworkingonsite,refreshertraining,safetymeetingsandtoolboxtalks,andarrange external training where required.
Maintain training records.
Monitortheuseof PPEandensurethatallequipmentiscalibratedandtestedasrequired Conductsiteinspectionsaccordingto Health&Safety Inspection Plan,preparerelevantreportsand close out with corrective actions.
Prepare Risk Assessmentand Method Statementsasrequired Investigateaccidents/incidentsandreportto Manager Flexibilitytoworkoncompanyprojectsasrequired.
Perform the role in accordance with the Companys policies and procedures Essential Requirements: Minimum 2 years experience in similar role Good knowledge and understanding of Environmental legislation.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to learn quickly and master new systems and processes to collaborate with other departments.
Excellent organisation, communication and accuracy skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work both within a team and on own initiative.
Ability to meet strict deadlines.
Full Clean driving licence.
Rate of Pay: Dependent on ability/experience.
Currency negotiable.
