Responsibilities:
* Manage mechanical maintenance to optimise plant performance and ensure safety.
* Procure spare parts and services to maintain long-term asset availability, in line with budget and maintenance management systems.
* Plan and track long-term maintenance for mechanical equipment.
* Lead and guide a team of Maintenance Technicians, working collaboratively with other departments.
* Achieve maintenance plans and targets within safety, economic, and environmental guidelines.
* Diagnose faults and proactively solve problems, offering innovative solutions.
* Support the implementation of the plant's business management system and assist in broader plant management.
* Communicate with owners, legal authorities, suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders.
* Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety protocols and the permit-to-work system.
* Lead performance management for direct reports, ensuring alignment with team objectives.
Requirements:
* BEng, BSc, or equivalent Level 8 qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
* 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in power plants or heavy industries (coal, mining, material handling).
* Strong IT skills and proficiency with maintenance management systems, including preventive maintenance planning and reporting.
* Middle management level experience with proven leadership abilities.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
