The Treasury Reporting Team is primarily responsible for ensuring the delivery of internal and external reporting for the National Debt of Ireland, the Post Office Savings Bank Fund and the Dormant Accounts Fund. A vacancy for an assistant treasury accountant has arisen within the team. The primary responsibility of the assistant treasury accountant will be to prepare accurate financial reporting of all treasury related activities such as the National Debt of Ireland, together with monitoring and maintenance of key financial controls to ensure accurate reporting. The Assistant Treasury Accountant will work within the Treasury Reporting Team and will report to the Treasury Reporting Assistant Manager. Principal Accountabilities Preparation of management reporting and reconciliations for the National Debt of Ireland and other related accounts - including daily, weekly and monthly reporting requirements. Support in the delivery of month-end management reporting and quarterly reporting requirements within the treasury function. Support the accurate preparation of the annual financial statements of the National Debt of Ireland, Post Office Savings Bank Fund and the Dormant Accounts Fund. Contribute to the development and maintenance of reporting processes for the National Debt of Ireland including accounting policies, financial controls and reporting efficiencies. Support the efficient internal and external audit for all treasury activities. Participate in regular project work and user acceptance testing delivered in parallel to the business as usual tasks within the treasury function. Maintain and develop a strong working relationship with all internal and external stakeholders. Ad hoc treasury projects and process improvements. Experience & Knowledge Experience in a busy financial reporting or reconciliation team, meeting daily or month-end deadlines, would be preferable. Role would suit a graduate of a business-related undergraduate degree who is looking to further develop their career in a treasury and financial reporting function. A candidate interested in pursuing or has recently started a professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, CIMA or ACCA). A willingness to learn and develop within the role. Very good communication, organisation and interpersonal skills. Evidence of using your own initiative. The ability to adapt to the position quickly and a capability to maintain several concurrent tasks to a high standard. Very good IT competency (MS Office & Excel).
