As an Automation Lead, you will play a key role in overseeing automation efforts, ensuring seamless integration with construction projects, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations in the pharmaceutical sector. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess project impact, develop automation solutions, and drive continuous improvement in automated processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage automation activities throughout the project lifecycle.
* Actively participate in construction meetings, providing automation expertise and ensuring alignment with project goals.
* Understand, communicate, and track ongoing work, assessing its impact on the Automation team.
* Develop, review, and quantify automation code to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, validation, and IT, to drive automation efficiency.
* Ensure all automation systems meet industry regulations (GMP, FDA, GAMP 5) and project specifications.
* Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring system reliability.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in automation within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
* Strong understanding of automation systems, PLCs, SCADA, and industrial control systems.
* Experience in coding, testing, and validating automation solutions in a regulated environment.
* Ability to interpret engineering and construction documentation to assess automation impact.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to liaise between teams.
* Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, and industry best practices is a plus.
