Key Responsibilities
To ensure the hotel achieves the Leading Hotels of the World Quality Assurance targets and that the highest standards of luxury and quality are delivered consistently to our guests.
1. Have an understanding of the Hotel's Vision & Mission statement as communicated to the team
2. Evaluate areas of responsibility to ensure they are clean and well-maintained, adhering to cleaning checklists
3. Report defective materials and equipment to the appropriate departments
4. Control the ambiance in departments (lights, music, and temperature)
5. Be vigilant throughout the Hotel to promote security
6. Have strong product knowledge of all areas of the hotel
7. Acknowledge a flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to Hotel guests and maintain flexibility within teams
8. Provide support when necessary in other areas of the Hotel
9. Comply with the hotel's cash handling procedure
People Management
1. Attend appraisal reviews when requested by Head of Department
2. Understand and comply with the hotel employee handbook
3. Attend departmental daily briefings
4. Attend monthly departmental meetings/General Team Meetings, ECCM when required
5. Adhere to the hotel's grooming procedures
Fire, Health & Safety
1. Comply with the hotel's Fire and Emergency procedures
2. Comply with the Health & Safety regulations of the hotel
3. Comply with the Food Hygiene regulations of the hotel
4. Ensure all accidents and incidents are investigated and reported in accordance with the hotel's accident/incident reporting procedure
5. Support the hotel's Environmental policy by complying with waste management and monitoring energy efficiency
Specific Duties
1. Carry out all duties in line with departmental Standards Manual (Leading Quality Assurance)
2. Provide a channel for communication within the hotel to effectively deal with all telephone and email enquiries in a professional and courteous manner
3. Be aware of any menu updates, hotel promotions, corporate promotions, or specials
4. Be knowledgeable and informed about the introduction of products
5. Carry out cleaning as required
6. Liaise with other departments to ensure that all guest requests are attended to efficiently
Requirements
