Job Summary:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to manage the execution of projects within a group on a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will have experience in facility and utility engineering, preferably in a GMP environment.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage project execution within the group.
* Implement equipment and process improvement initiatives.
* Ensure day-to-day preventative and demand maintenance activity to maintain manufacturing and utility equipment.
* Establish performance goals, schedules, and timetables for activities with the Site Engineering Services Manager.
* Assist in managing manufacturing / utility / facility project plans.
* Cordinate maintenance of manufacturing & facility equipment to required maintenance schedules.
* Prepare capital expenditure requests for the facility, plant, and equipment.
* Develop monthly engineering metrics for operations, utilities, and facilities, including ownership of the Site Maintenance Excellence Program to drive operational improvements and implement cost savings.
* Ensure successful agency, external, divisional, and corporate audits related to engineering compliance systems.
* Issue management reports as requested and on time.
* Manage relevant budgets within target.
* Cross-train within the department to ensure appropriate preventive maintenance schedules are achieved.
* Ensure safety standards are met, and safe working practices are adhered to.
* Implement equipment/process upgrades in an environment of continuous improvement.
* Support the Engineering Team in ensuring that manufacturing equipment is maintained to meet required legal, divisional, and corporate standards.
* Liaise with Global Engineering as required.
* Ensure effective management of internal and external plant projects.
* Implementation of all relevant policies relating to Quality, Engineering & Safety.
* Supervise external contractors, including development of performance metrics for third-party service providers of site services.
* Negotiate cost and drive quality & performance with external contractors.
* Prepare CAPA plans and implement timelines.
Essential Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree: Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Biomedical, Electronics) or Relevant Discipline
* 5+ years of experience in Facility and Utility Engineering, preferably in a c GMP environment
Desired Requirements:
* Experience in Chilled Water, boilers, Potable Water distribution, Compressed Air Generation, LPHW, Building Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, Electricity, Building Safety Systems, and Building regulations
