Master Technician Job Purpose
The purpose of the Master Technician is to accurately diagnose customer’s vehicles in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, to liaise with the manufacturer in regard to repair procedures, and to service and repair vehicles.
About the Role
The Master Technician position is an integral role within the team, delivering front line, best-in-class service to Windsor Motor customers.
Main Objectives and Responsibilities
1. To service and repair vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ guidelines.
2. To make written and verbal reports on service and repair activity to the workshop controller.
3. To complete administrative procedures (including warranty) relating to service and repair work.
4. To maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
5. To undertake vehicle road tests.
6. To attend dealership and manufacturers’ training programmes.
7. To assist with the development and training of other staff.
Specific Tasks
1. To carry out diagnostics and repair work in accordance with manufacturer and dealership quality standards.
2. To achieve laid down efficiencies and productivity targets.
3. To strictly observe the documentation requirements and administrative/reporting procedures.
4. To strictly observe dealership Health and Safety regulations.
5. To contribute to good team spirit and the achievement of departmental objectives.
6. To take care of dealership equipment and tools.
7. To ensure that the personal tool kit is maintained at an appropriate level.
8. To read and understand manufacturer and dealership technical bulletins.
