Job Title: Quantity Surveyor/Estimator
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our team.
About the Role:
This position will be based in Monaghan, and you will work closely with our management and accounts teams to ensure accurate cost management of projects.
Responsibilities:
* Analyse construction drawings and specifications to identify labour, material, and specialist requirements.
* Prepare enquiry documents, source and obtain material and subcontractor quotations, including final negotiations and orders.
* Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors and set sub-contractor packs.
* Complete monthly sub contractor valuations through to final account.
* Complete monthly valuations to PQS and record all additional works items.
* Liaise with clients to agree rates/variations and cost analysis.
* Measure works as per contract specific schedule of rates.
* Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts within agreed timescales.
Requirements:
* Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management or other related disciplines.
* Working knowledge of the PWC form of contracts.
* Experience in Estimating / Quantity Surveying role within a Main Contracting organisation for at least 2 years.
* Articulate, pro-active with excellent commercial acumen and communication skills and comfortable working with minimum supervision.
* Proficient in Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word, Excel and Project.
