This is a 24-month contract.
Reporting to the Trading Manager, the Trading Assistant will be responsible for providing administration support to a group of Trading Managers.
Day to day, the role will include the collation, verification, and presentation of information to a set deadline and standard, ensuring great attention to detail. This role will involve interfacing with suppliers, retailers, and internal customers. The majority of the work will be office-based with occasional visits to stores as required. This is a great opportunity for someone to gain exposure to buyers within a busy retail environment and learn about trading operations.
The key responsibilities of this position will include:
1. Collation, verification, and presentation of information.
2. Timely and accurate processing of data.
3. Gather, coordinate, and maintain all key trading information from suppliers or any other source on behalf of designated trading managers.
4. Proactive resolution of supplier pricing queries/range cleansing.
5. Build effective cross-functional relationships to enhance service delivery.
6. Ensure adherence to company policy and calendar deadlines.
7. Act as focal interface on behalf of trading for retailer-related activity/outputs.
8. Collation of retailer bulletin information and communications as required.
9. CRM query resolution from inception to conclusion on behalf of Trading Managers on all product and services queries.
10. Analyse, review, and suggest improvement to ways of working to reduce CRM queries.
11. Work effectively with Trading Managers to ensure smooth running of promotional activities and the transfer of key data.
12. Accuracy of Pricing Files.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
1. A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of working in a busy environment.
2. Previous experience in administration/data input.
3. Experience working to tight deadlines whilst ensuring accuracy of output.
4. Experience of using databases and working with high volumes of data.
5. Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
6. Accuracy and attention to detail.
7. Ability to develop and maintain cross-functional working relationships.
8. Can-do attitude with the ability to embrace change.
9. Previous administration experience within a trading or retail environment.
10. A-level or 3rd level qualification (business or commercial related).
