Senior New Product Development Engineer

Position Summary:
Design and develop solutions for orthopaedic and Trauma applications. Collaborate with cross functional team to lead technical aspects of projects through the new product development process. Review and oversee adjacent project efforts. Lead technical aspects of program pipeline.
You will design and implement complex concepts and systems, including system architectural design, relevant design documentation, test planning and execution.
You will specialize in various technology domains and evaluate new technologies.
You will support designs and the selection of platform technologies.
You will work independently with surgeon customers in a user setting, clearly communicate design goals and incorporate feedback into designs.
You will ensure compliance with the relevant requirements in cooperation with other engineering disciplines, QA/RA/AO, etc.
You will maintain and improve engineering methods and practices.
You will train and mentor regarding established engineering best practices, design principles, processes and tools.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* Bachelor's degree in science, preferably Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
* Prior experience in product design in Orthopaedics in the medical device industry or related Engineering/Manufacturing industry.
* Leadership of technical work groups.
* Experience in design controls and risk management within a regulated industry.
* Proficiency in parametric CAD design package, preferably Pro E.
* Understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and its application.
