Duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:
* Promote and demonstrate a safety mind-set in all aspects of Facilities work.
* Support the Facilities Manager in leading, managing and overseeing capex projects for the complete project life cycle, including identifying, initiating and developing plant projects, completing cost benefit reports and feasibility studies, tendering, preparation of project plans, stakeholder coordination and management, and execution of projects to successful and cost effective conclusions.
* Oversee service provider contracts within the purview of the role, such as Electrical Sub-contract, Mechanical Sub-contract, to ensure required standards are consistently achieved.
* Support the EPA and hazardous waste management processes as required.
* As part of the Facilities Team, support the coordination of the mandatory inspections and preventative maintenance program for mechanical, electrical, and building infrastructure.
* Support Facilities Technicians and external service providers in the execution of the preventative maintenance program and reactive work requests, including task assignment.
* Coordinate Facility work processes to meet changing business and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure all Facilities Work Requests for PPM and Reactive works, with documentation are completed and stored as appropriate.
* Ensure service inspections are completed and documented in a timely and efficient manner.
* Ensure that contractors attending the site have all the relevant documentation in place prior to work commencing.
* Assume rotation of roles within the team as PPM, Reactive or Floater.
* Provide on-call cover as part of a Facilities Team roster.
* Support and participate in the introduction, maintenance and utilization of a Computer Aided Facilities Management system.
* Complete ad-hoc tasks assigned by Facilities Manager or their delegate for the locations.
* Deputise for the coordination of Facilities duties and schedules if required.
* Generate and modify Facility work processes to meet changing business and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure relevant job cards and other documentation are completed and stored as appropriate.
* Ensure service inspections are completed and documented in a timely and efficient manner.
* Review and approve sub-contractor invoices and verify works done.
Experience/Qualification Requirements:
* A qualified Electrical craftsperson (having completed a 4 year apprenticeship or equivalent qualification) with ideally 3 years post qualification experience working within an industrial facilities maintenance environment.
* Experience in HVAC, 10kV distribution systems, UPS systems, elevators and fire detection/protection systems is desirable.
* Experience with Building Management System operations.
* Experience working in multi-disciplined Facilities Teams, influencing internal and external teams as required, to perform their own duties in achieving company goals.
* Excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and assertiveness skills.
* Proven experience working to deadlines.
* Demonstrates appropriate attitude and behaviour in support of safe working practices and maintenance standards.
* Ability to work on own initiative in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail.
* A strong work ethic, reliable, self-motivated with a positive attitude, and very customer service oriented.
Additional Desired Experience and Qualifications:
* Ideally, have experience in the effective planning and organisation required to maintain a facility for Aircraft Maintenance.
* Ideally, have experience required for the control of Budgets within approved Delegation of Authority Spend limits, and keeping tracker for the same.
Typical Working Conditions:
* Must satisfy and maintain the required medical standard.
* Work is performed at the AAG Hangar in Shannon and possibly offsite providing AOG support.
* PPE is provided by AAG and its use is mandatory in the performance of your work.
* Must satisfy and maintain airport security requirements.
