Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager with circa 10 years of experience. This role is a hybrid position in our Offaly location.
The Role:
* Manage day-to-day HR services in an effective and efficient manner.
* Work collaboratively with the Business Unit Leadership Team to drive business performance, participate and contribute to Business operations and commercial performance.
* Provide coaching and expertise on complex, sensitive people-related issues.
* Offer accurate HR advice and support to management and staff regarding all aspects of the employment relationship.
* Lead workforce planning by conducting detailed gap analysis and executing effective plans to meet the transition and future needs of the Land & Habitats business, including rightsizing/outplacement and recruitment/retention as required.
* Develop succession plans and supports to ensure a strong leadership pipeline with leaders who possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to deliver on business strategy.
* IDentify the capabilities needed to achieve business success. Design and implement interventions to bridge any gaps, such as personal development plans, strategic resourcing, etc., to ensure the business has the right competence and commitment to deliver strategy.
* Oversee the effective management and resolution of all employee and industrial relations issues, in accordance with employment legislation, company policies, and best practice. Serve as the primary point of contact for all union engagement.
* Lead IR/ER initiatives across the Business Unit. Proactively and positively manage the relationship with our clients Group of Unions and Joint Industrial Relations Council (JIRC).
* Liaise with and develop good relationships with relevant external bodies/agencies.
* Collaborate closely with Lean Centre HR to ensure consistent implementation of our client's policies, programmes, and initiatives in areas such as ED&I, Health & Wellbeing, Reward, Performance Management, and Succession Planning within the Business Unit.
* Communicate effectively with HR colleagues in other Business Units to share information and ensure consistency of approach on HR-related matters.
* Support the Head of HR in rolling out company-wide HR programmes and initiatives.
* Collaborate with EHS to maintain and promote a safe working environment.
* Create a culture of high performance within the team, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
* All employees are expected to cooperate fully with all provisions taken by the company to ensure Health and Safety and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public using the premises.
* As a key member of the Senior Management team, use the Performance Management process proactively to support resource planning within your team and the wider organisation.
* Promote a safe place and system of work. Participate as required in EHS activities.
The Person:
* The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills, knowledge, and attributes: -
* Degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
* CIPD desirable.
* Minimum 10 years' experience post-qualification.
* Experience working as part of a senior management team delivering business strategy.
* Previous experience in a unionized environment.
