Trim Castle Hotel has an exceptional opportunity to join our team as Assistant Front Office Manager.
The role will be charged with leading and motivating the front office team to deliver outstanding levels of service to guests of the Hotel. As a department leader, direct and work with managers and team to successfully execute all front office operations, including guest arrival and departure procedures.
About The Role
Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:
1. To manage and monitor the Front Office Team to ensure all guests receive prompt and courteous service, with support from the Revenue Manager
2. Ensuring that staff on duty follow the required procedures during their shift and delegate tasks to Receptionist at the beginning of their shift
3. To complete weekly rosters
4. To develop, motivate and carry out reviews, job chats & PDRs appraisals of Front Office Staff
5. To understand and carry out Reservation procedures to the Company standard, and to liaise with Reservations with regards to any book-outs and/or no-shows
6. To report any comments, complaints and compliments to the General Manager/Senior Management
7. To control and analyse, on an ongoing basis, departmental costs to ensure performance against budgets set
8. To perform varied shifts each week to ensure maximum coverage of the department over the course of any stated week
9. In conjunction with the Revenue Manager conduct monthly departmental meetings to include a review of procedures and events which warrant special handling and detailed information
Requirements For The Role
1. Minimum 2 years of experience of working in a similar role and/or environment
2. A warm, friendly and approachable personality when dealing with fellow staff and guests
3. Accurate and efficient cash handling skills
4. Strong management skills
Desired Criteria
1. Previous experience as Front Office Manager/Assistant Manager is essential.
2. Working knowledge of Front Office Systems, preferably Opera is essential.
3. Excellent written and spoken levels of English.
4. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
