Position: Consultant Psychiatrist (General Adult Psychiatrist with experience in either neuropsychiatry or neurodegenerative illness)
Location: Dublin D16
Role: Permanent Full Time - 37 hours per week, with on-call rota.
Salary: Up to 272,000 annually depending on experience and on call benefits.

An incredible opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a leading in-patient mental health service in Ireland, specialising in neuropsychiatric care for adults with complex and enduring mental health needs. This is a pivotal role where you'll lead a multidisciplinary clinical team and drive excellence in patient care, clinical governance, and innovation.
About the Role:
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will:
Deliver and oversee the highest standard of clinical care for patients with diverse mental health needs, including neuropsychiatric conditions such as Alzheimers, Parkinsons, and Huntingtons disease.Take a leadership role in fostering integrated care and new service delivery methods.Ensure compliance with all regulatory and clinical governance standards, including HSE and Mental Health Commission requirements.Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic and operational planning.Contribute to teaching and research, supporting academic programs in partnership with educational institutions.

What Were Looking For:
Full registration in the Specialist Register (Psychiatry) of Medical Practitioners with the Medical Council in Ireland.Registered as a general adult psychiatrist with experience in either neuropsychiatry or neurodegenerative illness.Expertise in general adult psychiatry, with experience in neuropsychiatry or neurodegenerative illness.A proven ability to lead, implement change, and develop clinical services.Strong communication skills, with a track record in teaching and research. Ability to deliver core contracted hours and to undertake on call as a member of a rota.
