Job PurposeThe purpose of the role is to develop and implement psychological interventions that meet individual service-users' needs by providing holistic assessment and direct support and guidance to service-users and staff alike.
Minimum Education & Experience RequiredRelevant Master's and/or Doctorate level, professional qualification in Psychology recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland.Chartered membership (or eligible for) with the Psychological Society of Ireland or Chartered membership (or eligible for) of the British Psychological Society.At least 3 years work experience in the field of Learning Disability/Autism/Mental Health/Physical or Sensory Disability.An understanding of the Recovery Approach and of Person Centred Planning would be an advantage.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupport Planning – Support students/service users and the staff that support them to identify personal goals and learning, social, emotional, cognitive needs.
Support students/service users to prepare for Individual Action Plan (IAP) or Person-Centred Planning meetings.
Contribute to intake assessments.Psychological Assessment – Undertake appropriate psychological assessments using data from psychological tests, self-report measures, direct and indirect observations and interviews with students/service users and other stakeholders where appropriate.Psychological Intervention & Support – Design and implement high-quality, formulation-driven psychological interventions, therapies and supports based on appropriate conceptual frameworks, established evidence-based practice and Rehab Groups commitment to the principles of recovery, co-production, equality, diversity, dignity and respect.Practice Support & Systems Level Intervention – Provide support, regular consultation and guidance to staff to help them deliver high-quality support in line with best practice.
