Overall Purpose of the Job:
Basic preparation of food and beverages, simple cooking, transporting and serving of meals, general Kitchen and Restaurant duties.
Main duties and responsibilities:
* Maintain a willingness to learn & take direction from Kitchen Brigade in order to improve own skills levels.
* Help in the supervision and control of all food and beverage items from the Kitchen, providing high quality food in all areas whilst adhering to principles of GP% and Costings.
* Ensure that the service of all meals is to the standard laid down by the Company and meets the Client’s specification and Head Chef's Standards.
* Control of raw materials and portions to be in accordance with the Company’s standards as applicable.
* Complete and maintain all legislative paperwork as required by law including the Foodspace Food Safety Manual.
* Maintain the Company standard of hygiene and safety and take any action as necessary.
* Attend to all customer complaints and compliments within the guidelines and timeframes as laid down by the contract and Head Chef.
* Ensure that all deliveries are received and recorded as per company requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Recognised Professional Culinary Qualification or previous experience in a comparable Kitchen environment.
* Previous recent experience within a working kitchen.
* Knowledge of Kitchen Health & Safety Procedures and all Legislative Requirements.
