Job Title: Maintenance Task Database Manager

AAG have an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated Maintenance Task Database Manager seeking a role in a challenging, fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:
Essential Job Function
* Database Management: Oversee the creation, organisation, updating, and maintenance of the aircraft maintenance task database, ensuring all records are accurate and current.
* Task and Sub-Task Documentation: Ensure all maintenance tasks and sub-tasks, including service bulletins, work instructions, and maintenance records, are properly documented and categorised.
* Work Time Allocation: Accurately allocate work time at both the task and sub-task levels to task cards, maintaining precise records of time spent on each activity to support efficient scheduling and resource management.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the database complies with all relevant aviation regulations and standards, including those from authorities such as the FAA and EASA.
* Data Integrity: Regularly audit the database to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of maintenance task and sub-task records and work time allocations.
* Technical Support: Assist maintenance personnel in accessing and interpreting task and sub-task information, providing guidance on database usage and best practices.
* System Optimization: Work with IT and other departments to optimise the functionality and user interface of the task database system, ensuring it meets the needs of the maintenance team.
* Training: Develop and deliver training programs for maintenance staff on adequately using the maintenance task database and accurate time allocation practices at both task and sub-task levels.
* Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity and reliability of the data within the database.
* ERP: Collaborate with ERP provider to manage database software updates, resolve technical issues, and implement new features.
* Ensure the maintenance database team performs its duties according to the EPM, MOE, customer procedures, and other documents that may affect them.
* Responsible for audits, overseeing and participating in the timely closing of audit findings.
* Ensure accurate and up-to-date information is presented at the daily meetings.
* Ensure KPIs are developed and implemented to support the team in meeting its targets and objectives.
* Ensure bottlenecks in processes are identified and rectified through Continuous Improvement.
* Lead and, when required, participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives as required.
* Take ownership of the function budget, with meticulous cost control.
* Scheduling and communicating all daily duties and tasks to the Team members.
* Develop and implement action plans to address any issues impacting departmental performance.
* Develop and maintain a succession plan, including career development of team members.
* Demonstrate excellent leadership to ensure the Team achieves optimum performance through ongoing support and coaching.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and support Lean initiatives within the Engineering Department.
* Any other duties and responsibilities the Head of Planning & Engineering identifies as they relate to the function.
* Manage competency assessments and review of the assigned team.
Candidate Requirements
* A minimum of 10 years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience on multiple Boeing and Airbus Types.
* Strong leadership experience working in a fast-paced changing environment.
* Strong commercial awareness with people leadership skills.
* Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA).
* Experienced using Airbus World and MyBoeingFleet software.
* Strong IT Skills with experience using an ERP System.
* Strong analytical skills to ensure precise work time allocation and efficient resource management.
* Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail.
* Good sense of responsibility and initiative; experience in project management welcomed.
* A flexible working schedule will be required to support this role.

Typical Working Conditions
* Primarily based in Shannon; however, travel is a requirement of the role.
* Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and additional hours may be required.
* Must satisfy and maintain airport security requirements.
