ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Basic Functions and Scope of Responsibilities:
The assistant director will provide support to the Program Director, project faculty, project administrator/evaluator, and other personnel through completion of a variety of organizational tasks. The assistant will interface with all specialists/faculty to ensure that all deliverables are met and that the Work Plan is followed in a timely manner with progress monitoring activities implemented on an ongoing basis.
Principal Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with all specialists/faculty and project administrator/evaluator in planning trainings, planning meetings, webinars, and professional development opportunities.
2. Research upcoming events, resources, and professional development opportunities that will be beneficial to the team.
3. Support ongoing progress monitoring and data analysis.
4. Oversee all Outreach and Recruitment efforts.
5. Support the maintenance of thorough and accurate records, files, and correspondence to document services provided and ensure all deliverables are met.
6. Train the full team to function, with fidelity, within the frameworks of communities of practice and implementation science.
Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
1. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
2. Expertise in grant deliverables.
3. Substantial organizational and management skills.
4. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills that support collaboration with all team members and specialists.
Education Requirements:
Minimum of a Master’s degree in the mental health or related field.
Working Conditions:
Typical office setting with privacy; required regular travel to various locations throughout Long Island; occasionally work hours will be required during nights and weekends.
Materials and Equipment:
Computer, copier, scanner, wireless access, phone, and fax.
