Data Scientist

Duration: 12 months
Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week
Pay rate range: Competitive hourly rate.
We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our Structured Dossier Content Authoring project team. This role will be split between the Analytical Development (AD) and Drug Substance (API) sub-teams within the project as required, based on project timelines and workload.
Assess available technologies and then develop and implement flexible, scalable and validated solution(s) capable of automated generation of specified data-driven Module 3 (CMC) tables that are authored by JJIM, R&D’s Therapeutics Development & Supply organization. Define implementation plan for Structured Dossier Content Authoring in Synthetics. Define a business process to support automated generation and prioritization of Module 3 data tables.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Contribute to the development of an S88 Process Model for the LM-API process
o Analyze LM-API documentation sources to contribute terminology (Stages, Operations, Actions and Parameters) for the Process Model
o Help with project schedule maintenance and cycle time measurement
* Data discovery
o Analyze dossier table data structures and align with RDDW db0x
o Identify data gaps and working with data engineers determine the appropriate solution.
* Maintain project documentation
o Responsible for writing up various project documentation in spreadsheet and Confluence
o Development of “mapping files” which map data in source systems to a standard data model
o Document data gaps and work with database engineers to rectify.
* Application Development
o AD and/or API process SME resource for developers.
o Guide development of applications, providing feedback during informal and formal testing
o Develop sample data sets as required to aid application development
* Training Material Development
o Work with team members responsible for business process development to develop application training materials.
o Work with business SMEs to develop application data cleanliness guidelines.
How to Succeed
* Bachelor’s in engineering, Computer Science, Science or Data Science.
* 3 years of experience working at a large pharmaceutical company is desirable but not essential.
* Prior experience in Statistics or Data Science.
* Good understanding of Analytical Development and Large Molecule Drug Substance manufacturing processes.
* Previous experience in Structured Content Authoring (eReporting) projects is desirable.
* Experience with SQL database queries is required.
* Experience with basic data engineering activities, e.g. data discovery, working with database engineers to implement data cleaning rules, identifying gaps in data required for data table preparation.
* Experience working with developers to guide the development of applications, e.g. user story preparation, App testing and providing feedback, preparation of sample data, etc.
* Proven ability to work autonomously on assigned tasks thereby contributing effectively to the project's goals.
