Job Title: Project Manager, Construction
About the Role
Your main responsibilities as a Project Manager will be to:
* Manage several projects in a portfolio at various stages of development/construction, including organizing, leading, and ensuring effective management and administration.
* Ensure projects are managed according to Statkraft's Capital Projects Model (CPM) and construction projects are managed according to the project Charter.
* Coordinate the project team, including external consultants, contractors, and service providers.
* Report on project status to senior management.
* Implement Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements and ensure HSE compliance, including project health and safety monitoring, reporting, and development.
* Implement anti-corruption prevention measures, such as assessing and addressing risks, training, transparent reporting of incidents, and monitoring of contractors.
* Ensure internal communication, cooperation, and coordination between staff members and other parties with interface to the project.
* Hold efficient and regular project meetings and record minutes and agreed actions.
* Manage tendering processes for small works packages.
* Manage inputs from the technical design team to finalize project designs.
* Utilize Statkraft's internal tools for payments, project tracking, safety, contract management, risk management, etc.
Qualifications
* University degree in engineering or natural sciences with extensive experience.
* Work experience in managing renewable energy development projects with a proven track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure projects through construction.
* Clear affinity with renewables and relevant working experience in the renewable energy industry, particularly in construction processes and environmental assessments of wind, solar, battery, and other renewable energy projects.
* Demonstrated experience in managing project budgets and schedules from early-stage development to construction.
* Strong technical understanding of renewable energy technology and experience with contracts and technical appendices for main technology supply contracts.
* Strong communication, relationship-building, and management skills, including organizational ability and a target-oriented approach.
* Excellent application of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, AutoCAD, SharePoint, and other applications.
* Able to concisely frame issues by providing context, analysis, recommendations, and risk/benefit in written and verbal formats.
* Independent self-starter with a clear ability to manage a large workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication skills in English.
