About the Role
We are seeking a Fabrication Supervisor to support our Offsite team at Kane.
Responsibilities
* Supervise a team of general/skilled operatives, fabricators, welders and spray painters.
* Manage a busy assembly line and delegate tasks amongst the team as required.
* Review fabrication drawings and produce cutting lists.
* Work to a weekly planner to ensure dispatch deadlines are met.
* Assist and supervise the QA team with checks to ensure fabricated products meet drawings.
* Organize materials for projects, including ordering daily consumables.
* Attend and lead daily production meetings.
* Liaise with HR to complete return to work forms and book employee AL.
* Complete annual employee appraisals, setting individual targets and reviewing employee performance throughout the year.
* Liaise with the Service and Maintenance Manager for general fabrication warehouse maintenance and equipment maintenance.
* Overall responsibility for H&S on the workshop floor, conducting daily team briefings, weekly toolbox talks and attending bi-weekly H&S meetings.
* Assist the wider Offsite team with QA audits, striving for continual improvement of processes and procedures.
* Supervise ad-hoc works and subcontractors for modular fitout or workshop maintenance projects.
Requirements
* Essential: 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C), including Math and English.
* Experience and Knowledge:
o Workshop production line experience, either worked in or supervised.
o MIG/TIG/MMA welding processes and procedures.
* Desirable:
o Previous experience within a supervisor/managerial role.
o CWSIP 3.0 or 3.1 qualification, or demonstrate sound knowledge of NDT processes.
