Senior Strategic Healthcare Analyst Role
The Senior Strategic Healthcare Analyst will play a pivotal role within the Group Healthcare Office, contributing to the design, evolution, and evaluation of clinical strategies aimed at enhancing member value and clinical outcomes.
This position involves national and international benchmarking to inform innovative healthcare service design and delivery.
Key responsibilities include data modelling, health economic analysis, disease burden forecasting, and impact assessment of clinical programmes and services.
Role Purpose:
* Strategic Analysis and Insights:
• Conduct epidemiology and clinical research, horizon scanning and national and international benchmarking to guide best practice and standards for clinical programmes and healthcare pathways.
• Generate insights and document how the clinical programmes and healthcare pathways enhance value for members and the organisation.
• Conduct clinical analysis of patient-level data to identify trends and inform service innovation.
• Utilise health economic modeling, disease burden forecasting, and data analytics to support strategic decision-making.
• Support the generation of strategic documents e.g proposals, business cases, financial analyses.
* Service Development and Evaluation:
• Lead the evaluation and impact assessment of clinical programmes and healthcare pathways.
• Drive continuous quality improvement by identifying data gaps and collaborating with teams to optimise data quality.
• Benchmark healthcare service designs and delivery models nationally and internationally to inform innovative solutions.
* Stakeholder Engagement:
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across VHI Group, VHI Health & Wellbeing, VHI Insurance DAC and external partners.
• Represent the GHO team in internal forums and cross-functional collaborations.
• Prepare and present data-driven reports and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
* Reporting and Data Management:
• Enhance and streamline healthcare insights reporting mechanisms for internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop meaningful, actionable reports to communicate critical insights effectively
Requirements:
Essential:
* Bachelors degree in Science, Health Sciences, or a related field.
Masters degree in Health Sciences or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of professional experience, preferably in healthcare, management consultancy, or academic settings.
Strong understanding of financial and business systems in healthcare environments.
Expertise in working with large datasets and conducting statistical analyses to forecast service needs and outcomes.
Proven ability to identify and address data gaps effectively.
Experience in developing, optimising and/or assessing clinical programmes and healthcare services.
Experience in improving clinical service quality and health outcomes.

Experience extracting data from clinical systems for reporting and analysis.
