Job Description
Our global team seeks a design engineer passionate about pushing boundaries by collaborating across the globe with world-class engineers and customers to deliver new products that improve healthcare outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Design and launch innovative new medical devices
* Participate in a cross-functional global team focused on developing and designing new technologies within our high-speed drill portfolio
* Collaborate closely with leading neuro and spine surgeons to uncover unmet user needs and drive improved surgical outcomes
* Design and implement robust and innovative solutions that enable customers to access and visualize critical anatomical structures in the spine and skull
* Serve as technical lead for a multifunctional project team
* Liaise with surgeons to define user needs and ensure the product meets and exceeds expectations
* Mentor and guide junior team members, modeling high standards of professionalism in all interactions
Requirements
* Minimum of a Degree (level 8) in a suitable subject (e.g. Engineering) or equivalent design background
* 4+ years of experience in mechanical, tool design, or mechatronics engineering
* Experience in mechanism design
* NPD project delivery
* Strong delivery focus
* Understanding of various materials and mechanical processes
* Infectious enthusiasm for new technologies and their application
* Travel will be required for the role (International & EU)
