Job Title: Commercial & Business Development Manager
At SDS design engineers, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial & Business Development Manager to join our team. With over 19 years of experience in the industry, we have established ourselves as an award-winning design-focused civil, structural, geotechnical, and water engineering practice.
The successful candidate will be a Member of Engineers Ireland with at least 5 years' experience in Civil and/or Structural Engineering, including design and construction. They will assist in the preparation of high-quality engineering design for a broad range of civil and structural engineering projects, all in accordance with company ISO 9001 procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage workflow for construction projects, reporting to the SDS Director, including project tracking with key dates and resources.
* Liaise with clients on existing and future projects, covering tender and construction stages.
* Ensure early-stage project review and design intent on all projects within the project team, prior to director review.
* Attend sites as contracted, focusing on key milestones such as client meetings.
* Review pre-construction issue information with the SDS Director before presenting to clients.
* Provide client support in the civil and structural consultancy role.
* Conduct project reviews at project close with the SDS Director.
* Lead the civil/structural design team between Ireland and Spain on projects.
* Agree and manage project delivery milestones.
* Allocate team resources to support engineers/architects in individual projects, monitoring their efficiency in responding to clients on RFIs, general correspondence, and production/issue of information.
Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QEHS) Responsibilities:
* Comply with SDS Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety Management System requirements, performing work according to process documents and procedures, and maintaining document information/complete department forms/records as required.
* Understand and apply the SDS Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety policy statements in all aspects of work.
* Contribute towards achieving company's SDS QEHS objectives.
* Ensure that the needs and requirements of the company's internal staff and customers are understood and delivered.
* Help develop and improve the company's internal processes and management system by reporting corrective actions, updates, and improvement ideas.
