Overview
Opportunity for an E+I Engineer to join the Life Science team in Dublin.
Reporting to the MEP Manager, the E+I Engineer is responsible for the development, installation, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems in line with industry standards and project requirements. This role involves ensuring the functionality, safety, and reliability of electrical systems and instrumentation equipment across various operations and projects.

Responsibilities
* Plan, schedule, and coordinate E&I engineering activities to meet project milestones.
* Liaise with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, process) to ensure seamless integration.
* Work closely with procurement and contractors to ensure timely delivery and installation of E&I systems.
* Provide technical support during commissioning and start-up of electrical and instrumentation systems.
* Supervise and perform preventive maintenance activities on electrical and instrumentation equipment.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults, failures, or breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
* Develop and update maintenance schedules, procedures, and documentation.
* Ensure that critical spares are available for all key instrumentation and electrical systems.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry codes of practice.
* Conduct hazard assessments and implement safe work practices for electrical and instrumentation activities.
* Participate in safety audits, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-up.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements in E&I systems and implement cost-saving initiatives.
* Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in the field of E&I engineering.
Experience
* Experience with electrical systems, instrumentation, automation, and control systems design.
* Strong understanding of electrical standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, ATEX, or similar).
* Hands-on experience with PLC/DCS/SCADA programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell).
* Ability to read and interpret P&ID diagrams, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in E&I engineering within the Pharmaceutical industry.
