About the role

This position offers the chance to lead a dynamic team, utilise outstanding market insights, and drive category growth. We believe in the power of spending more time together, face to face, than apart. So, during your working week, you can expect to spend 60% of your time in one of our office locations or local sites and the rest remotely.
You will be responsible for
* Leading the Range & Insight team to deliver customer-focused ranges that drive category growth.
* Bringing together multiple data sources and category insights to analyse category performance, find opportunities, and determine market gaps.
* Leading cross-functional work teams and collaborating with collaborators across the business to project manage range projects that align with the overall business strategies.
* Line managing the Range & Insight team, demonstrating leadership behaviours, and encouraging individual development.
* Continually reviewing processes to drive simpler and more efficient ways of working.
* Gatekeeping the range and display principles, collaborating with UK Space, Range and Display to ensure planograms are an extraordinary standard.
* Accountable for delivering the merchandising schedule of range events and leading the end-to-end critical path.
* Working closely with Dunnhumby and other external agencies to ensure customer needs are met.
* Adhering to all Tesco policies and mentorship, including storage protocols, and successfully completing all Commercial Income and Grocery Regulations training to achieve zero Grocery Regulations breaches.
* Ensuring all agreements are accurate, recorded in writing in line with Commercial processes, and reporting Grocery Regulations complaints to Legal within 48 hours of receipt.
You will need
* Shown leadership and team management skills.
* Project Management & Category Management experience is an advantage.
* Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, including market data.
* Ability to effectively communicate complex information to a variety of collaborators.
* Experience in understanding business problems, forming hypotheses, and developing actions.
* Ability to build cross-functional relationships.
* Highly organised with flawless communication skills.
* An inquisitive approach with a passion for the customer.
