Are you experienced in mission critical infrastructure and looking to contribute to a global data centre team?
The Colocation Commissioning Build Program Management (CBPM) team is seeking a passionate and motivated technical program manager to contribute to the scaling and continuous improvement of construction, commissioning, building monitoring, and cost control – collectively the “Build” program – for Colocation data centers. The CBPM team collaborates with site planning, engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams globally to achieve measurable improvements to quality, schedule, and cost. The CBPM team is able to deliver on multiple inflight tasks with expedited timelines, prioritizes tasks based on business impact, and provides timely updates for progress and lessons learned.
We are seeking candidates with strong technical skills in primary Data Centre infrastructure. You will need to be very comfortable with networking technologies including DNS, TCP/IP, SSL, DHCP and Load Balancing.

5. Leverage extensive customer support experience to provide feedback to internal AWS teams on how to improve AWS design and construction services.
6. Drive customer communication during critical events and quality defects.
7. Drive projects that improve support-related processes and our customers’ technical support experience.
8. Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for the AWS customer community.
9. Work on critical, highly complex customer problems that may span multiple AWS services.
Key job responsibilities
1. Work with regional and global partners to scale, drive, and continuously improve AWS Colo processes related to construction, commissioning, building monitoring, and cost control.
2. Identify process gaps and lead initiatives across internal and external stakeholders to mitigate said gaps.
3. Review and provide feedback to stakeholder deliverables affecting the build phase, including site qualification, stakeholder engagement, milestone planning, contracting, quality and handover protocols.
4. Provide project management support of build activities in Colocation data centers when needed.
5. Design and implement metrics to measure program achievements and opportunities for improvement.
6. Provide guidance to Colo stakeholders of new or updated processes.
7. Deliver measurable results that improve Colo quality, schedule, and cost.
8. Support overall regional program technical support and prioritization of customer need.
9. Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the year, including international travel.
Minimum Requirements
1. 5+ years with direct mission critical facilities, including but not limited to data center infrastructure.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
3. 3+ years of construction, commissioning, building automation experience.
4. 2+ years related to the Colocation data center industry and 2+ years of program management experience.
5. Have a strong Technical and Working knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical plant and services supporting mission critical Data Center environments, including on MV & LV Distribution Switchgear, Automatic Transfer Schemes, Standby Generators, UPS, Chillers, CRACs/CRAHs, ancillary mechanical cooling systems plant, and system Automation & Monitoring.
6. Ability to read and review design and construction documents, including contracts, scope of works, specifications, design drawings, control diagrams, sequence of operations, submittals, inspection and test procedures.
