Role/Department:
The HR Advisor role provides HR guidance to mid-level managers and team leaders for relevant internal client groups. The advisor helps clients interpret and effectively apply corporate human resources programs.
Main Responsibilities:
* Consults with managers on employment-related situations and partners with managers on change initiatives with people impacts.
* Provides guidance and leadership to managers and partners on dispute resolution, disciplinary action, HR compliance, problem solving, redundancy, and litigation avoidance.
* Liaises between managers, HR Business Partners, and HR Service Centre to ensure coordinated efforts in line with internal client needs.
* Supports implementation of HR programs (career planning, performance management) and coaches managers in supporting a culture committed to employee engagement, development, and growth.
Skills/Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have experience working in a HR role or team in a high-volume professional environment, a solid understanding of risk associated with employment law and absence management, excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills, and the ability to work with clients in multiple jurisdictions.
