STORES LEAD | PERMANENT | CORK
Our client is seeking an experienced Store Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and enhance store operations to ensure smooth, accurate, and cost-effective processes.
* Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels, reduce shortages, and minimize waste.
* Manage a small team of store personnel, including providing training, mentoring, and supervision of daily tasks.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling, storage, and movement of materials.
* Conduct stock audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure compliance with company policies.
* Forecast and plan daily work scopes to ensure operational efficiency.
* Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows, reduce delays, and enhance cost-efficiency.
* Receive deliveries and verify the accuracy of goods received.
* Liaise with suppliers to resolve any discrepancies in stock or deliveries.
* Keep detailed records of stock shortages and spare items.
* Update inventory management systems regularly to reflect accurate stock levels.
* Pick and deliver goods using a forklift as required.
* Organize and deliver materials from the store to relevant departments.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in stores, warehouse, or inventory management, including goods-in and goods-out processes.
* Forklift operation experience.
* Basic IT skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work efficiently and methodically.
* Excellent work ethic and ability to lift heavy items.
* Able to perform physical tasks.
* Team player with the ability to work independently.
