Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Python Developer to join our dynamic team focused on PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch database deployment, maintenance, and optimization. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing database deployments over different deployment variants (physical, virtual and cloud native) for Ericsson RAN Network Management Portfolio.
The Skills you bring
Have 3+ years of relevant hands-on development experience in Python and Python testing frameworks
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
Strong understanding of Unix/Linux environments and bash scripting.
Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices (particularly in database deployment pipelines would be a plus)
Experience in relational database administration, deployment, and optimization would be a plus.
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, or similar tools would be a plus.
Have the capability to perform at your best in Agile team setting, working in multi-cultural and international environment.
Bachelor/master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Be proficient in English, written and spoken.
What you will do:
Responsible for deploying, configuring, and optimizing databases across various environments (physical, rack, virtual and cloud native) while ensuring high availability, security, and compliance.
Develop and maintain scripts and tools, automates deployment pipelines, manages performance tuning, and collaborates with infrastructure teams to integrate database solutions.
Oversees maintenance, upgrades, backup, and restore strategies while enforcing best practices for security, monitoring, and documentation.
Provide support for incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss while demonstrating excellent troubleshooting skills.
