The Systems Analyst will be responsible for executing technical upgrades of our investment management system (IMS) for SaaS clients.
This role involves assessing client systems, planning upgrade strategies, executing upgrade activities, and providing technical support to ensure successful deployment and operation of upgraded systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Technical Assessment and Planning: Assess client systems and infrastructure to determine compatibility and readiness for upgrades.
* Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders: Define technical requirements and dependencies for upgrade projects.
* Develop detailed upgrade plans: Including timelines, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
* Upgrade Execution and Deployment: Lead technical aspects of upgrade projects, including software installation, configuration, and testing.
* Coordinate with development and testing teams: Ensure smooth transition to upgraded systems.
* Implement deployment strategies: Minimize downtime and disruption to client operations.
* Testing and Quality Assurance: Help develop and execute test plans to validate functionality, performance, and compatibility of upgraded systems.
* Identify and troubleshoot technical issues: During testing phases.
* Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices: Throughout the upgrade process.
* Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Create and maintain documentation for knowledge transfer.
* Contribute to team training: Support clients on upgraded system functionality and usage.
* Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions: Share insights and lessons learned from past upgrade projects.
* Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Serve as a primary point of contact for technical support during upgrade deployments.
* Investigate and resolve technical issues: Reported by clients or internal stakeholders.
* Escalate complex issues: System failures to appropriate teams for resolution.
* Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to upgrade processes and systems.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement: Automation to streamline upgrade workflows.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Implement enhancements and optimize upgrade methodologies.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required
* Experience in Financial Services: Investment Management, Trading, or related systems highly preferable.
* Proven ability to partner with various internal departments: Deliver superior customer service.
* Experience in MS SQL Server and/or Sybase database configuration: Operations, and basic administration functions.
* Any experience with: Servers, operating systems, networks, scripting, XML, programming languages, job scheduling software, system monitoring software, and disaster recovery/business continuity is preferred.
* Excellent customer service skills: Technical troubleshooting skills, and interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
* Bachelor's degree: In a technical or analytical discipline such as Computer Science, IT, Financial Engineering, Engineering, Science, Economics, Maths, or Statistics is preferred.
* Minimum of 4+ years: Relevant industry experience is required.
