PROFILE OF ROLE:
The Company operates multiple payroll groupings covering the various manufacturing, support and sales personnel split by weekly and monthly pay frequencies for its nationwide sites.
The inputs to payroll come from a locally managed Clockwise T&A system as well as a global ERP HR system. The payroll department links in with HR in relation to the All-Ireland comp & Benefit programs which are also supported by a number of service providers.
The role reports to the Payroll Lead, with responsibilities covering all locations nationwide.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for end-to-end payroll processing of weekly and monthly payrolls.
2. Complete data validation and data analysis from multiple sources e.g., HR ERP, T&A, Comp & Benefit Providers.
3. Dealing with Starter and Leavers Registration.
4. Process the monthly PAYE Submissions on ROS.
5. Dealing with all aspects of the payroll process, BIK, share awards, pension and other voluntary and statutory deductions.
6. Manage the timely response to employee requests and queries and escalate when needed.
7. Supporting payroll peers with documentation of payroll systems and continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business or Accounting or another relevant Payroll qualification; in lieu of a degree.
2. 3+ years of Irish Payroll experience with a strong understanding of payroll processes, tax, and legal frameworks.
3. Experience in using payroll systems (CoreHR/People XD portal).
4. A high degree of attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. Enthusiastic and confident with a willingness to work within a team environment.
7. Possess the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
8. A good understanding of Payroll Process, tax and legal framework and IT systems.
9. Customer Focus ensuring that employees payroll experience remains positive.
10. Self-starter with proven track record of working on own initiative as well as working with external providers and across organisational boundaries.
11. A flexible approach to work, ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute within deadline.
Please note travel to other sites in Ireland for meetings probably every quarter/half yearly will be a requirement of this role.
