Welcome to Benjamin Finance – a fast-growing financial services firm with big ambitions. We are in the process of applying for an EMI (Electronic Money Institution) license in both the UK and Ireland while also establishing a real estate financing business line, specifically in the high-end hospitality projects.
We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on, and entrepreneurial Finance Manager to play a key role in shaping both business lines. This role is ideal for a senior accountant that still gets excited to be 'in the trenches'- willing and able to roll up their sleeves and get stuck into the operational basics of building a financial services business from scratch.
What You'll Do
This role is multifaceted and will evolve as the business grows. Initially, you'll be fully immersed in day-to-day operations, doing everything from processing receipts and performing bookkeeping to drafting board minutes and opening bank accounts. You'll also play a key role in drafting regulatory reporting documents and helping to build the company's financial structure in preparation for EMI licensing.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Real Estate Finance operations: Lead financial reporting, liquidity management, and corporate governance for our real estate lending business.
2. Financial oversight for EMI application: Support the EMI licensing process with financial planning, structuring, and regulatory documentation.
3. Corporate governance: Manage statutory filings, board packs, and internal governance for both business lines.
4. Banking & Treasury management: Help set up and manage bank accounts, maintain relationships with financial institutions, and oversee capital movements.
5. Tax & Compliance: Assist in managing tax matters across jurisdictions, ensuring compliance while supporting an efficient group structure. Take responsibility for Tax and VAT compliance.
6. Strategic growth & Structuring: Contribute to financial planning for future expansion, including preparation of multi-year budgets and business plans.
7. Management Accounting: Take responsibility for monthly accounts and liquidity reporting across the group.
* Regulatory Preparation: Draft ICAAP/ILAAP documentation, prepare financial projections and representing these budgets to regulatory authorities.
Requirements
Who You Are
You are a finance professional who is ready to grow into a CFO-level role but also understands that growth starts with execution. You enjoy solving problems, building systems, and getting things done.
You should be:
8. A qualified accountant with experience in regulatory reporting within banking, fintech, or other regulated financial environments.
9. Comfortable working at both strategic and operational levels, with a willingness to handle administrative tasks as needed.
10. Familiar with the preparation of ICAAP/ILAAP documentation, stress testing, and regulatory communications (note: final sign-off is not required, but drafting experience is a must).
11. An effective communicator - able to clearly present financial rationale to stakeholders, including the Central Bank of Ireland.
12. Entrepreneurial and proactive, comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment.
13. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of management accounting, liquidity, and capital planning.
* Eager to develop into a senior financial leadership role, with the ambition to eventually represent the company in regulatory interactions and directorships.
Why Join Us?
We are at an exciting stage of growth and this role offers a unique opportunity to shape both our real estate financing operations and EMI services from the ground up.
