As we prepare to open our doors, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food & Beverage Manager who is looking for the opportunity to put their stamp on the city and lead a team to ensure the highest standards of hospitality are delivered.
Position Overview
Responsible for all Food and Beverage offerings and staff. Team recruitment and training, compliance and guest satisfaction. This is a hands-on position that manages day-to-day food and beverage service operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing Operations: Manage day-to-day F&B operations, ensuring quality service, and smooth functioning of dining areas, bars, room service, and banquet facilities.
2. Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, control costs, and optimize profitability by monitoring expenses, revenue, and inventory.
3. Menu Planning and Development: Create menus, oversee food and drink offerings, and collaborate with chefs and suppliers to ensure variety, quality, and seasonal relevance.
4. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise F&B staff, maintaining high service standards, and fostering a positive work environment.
5. Guest Satisfaction: Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction by addressing concerns, soliciting feedback, and implementing improvements to enhance the overall dining experience.
6. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and licensing requirements, maintaining a safe and clean environment for guests and staff.
Requirements
1. Previous work experience in the Food & Beverage Service industry at management level.
2. A Hospitality / Travel / Tourism qualification is an advantage.
3. Ability to communicate with employees and customers, solve multiple problems at the same time, set priorities, organize work, and make decisions.
4. Excellent communication skills and people management.
5. Excellent customer care and complaint handling skills.
6. Excellent attention to detail and standards-driven.
7. This is a 7-day operation that requires a mix of night and weekend work.
8. Experience of effective cost and stock controls.
9. Ability to recruit, train, and develop a team.
10. Experience of dealing with budgets, forecasts, and quality standards.
11. Experience & success in managing a project or strategic change in the business is an advantage.
