Mason Technology is seeking to recruit an IT Application Support Analyst on a full-time contract. Founded in Dublin in 1780, Mason Technology is a leading provider of scientific solutions and services to laboratories and production environments throughout Ireland.
The Role:
As an IT Application Support Analyst, you will provide support for internal IT applications, assist with key projects and support business objectives. As an Analyst, you will be engaging with key stakeholders, understanding their requirements and developing application data analytics solutions. You will get involved in all aspects of 3rd party applications analysis & support including aspects of project management, development, deployment and onboarding. You will be required to provide end user training.
The role combines a mixture of managing enterprise applications & vendor relationships, driving insight and value from business systems data and providing applications support & implementation management across application projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage full cycle production issues from initial contact through to resolution, including root-cause analysis.
* Analyse business requirements to advise on the best use of applications and processes.
* Create dashboards to visualise insights for stakeholders.
* Conduct deep dive analysis & make recommendations to help with business decision making.
* Collaborate with various teams to understand their data needs and help them make informed decisions based on data insights.
* Collaborate with vendors on complex issues and system enhancement.
* Produce high quality documentation to support processes.
* Provide end user support across all systems when required.
* Advise on contract renewals for 3rd party software.
* Advising, assisting, and providing support to the Mason Technology community in their use systems & technologies.
* Contribute to the development of operational plans, ensures plans are fully implemented, and monitors progress to operational objectives.
* Assisting with the evaluation, testing and implementation of software technologies.
* Administration and support of software delivery solutions.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required
* A Primary Degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science or another relevant field
* 5+ Yrs exp supporting or managing enterprise applications
* Familiarity with reporting and visualisation tools (Power Bi, Tableau etc)
* Data Analytics and interpretation – providing meaningful insights from raw data
* Systems Analysis, Requirements Gathering and solution delivery skills
* Project Management certification advantageous
