Our client is seeking to recruit a Lead MEP Coordinator. They have extensive experience over many decades of high-level building services construction. They work across a number of sectors, including commercial, industrial and pharmaceutical. They are looking to recruit someone with a minimum of 5 years experience as a services coordinator.Reporting to the BIM Manager, the Lead MEP Coordinator has overall responsibility for delivering all 3D and 2D co-ordination milestones within their given business unit. The role of the Lead MEP Coordinator is that of a point of contact between the BIM team and Operations. When not working on a specific project, the Lead MEP Coordinator will be based within their Business Unit office. Their role is to ensure a direct line of communication between BIM and other organisational functions within the business unit.
Key functions
1. Support the operations team with regard to all co-ordination deliverables
2. Work closely with Operations managers
3. Delivering all 3D and 2D deliverables set by the BIM\Technical services Manager
4. Supporting all parties working within the digital construction process
5. Provide technical assistance and guidance to reporting team members
6. Drive team towards providing efficiencies on projects through the application of technology
7. Ensure all models and drawings are detailed to a constructible standard and comply with the design intent
8. Deliver a prefabrication & modularisation approach to construction
Lead MEP Coordinator Responsibilities
Project Delivery
9. Point of contact for all digital construction\BIM and coordination needs within their business unit and projects
10. Review and analysis of EIR and Client BEPS
11. Review of company BEP and issue to client
12. Ensure project is adequately resourced
13. Ensure correct project set up by BIM lead
14. Point of contact for Technical Services Manager with regard to project updates
15. Point of contact for Operations manager with regard to digital construction
16. Ensuring project BIM leads carry out all relevant duties
17. Auditing 3D and 2D deliverables to ensure internal standards are being adhered to
18. Attend weekly internal and client co-ordination meetings when requested
19. Support all parties working within the co-ordination process
20. Provide post project lessons learnt
21. Ensure project handover documents are completed and issued to client
BIM Development
22. Help other team members develop their own skills.
23. Supporting Project BIM leads with their personal development.
24. Attend site project meetings aiding the construction process and acting as an adviser to the site management with regard to co-ordination solutions.
25. Develop design knowledge with regard to Mechanical & Electrical systems allowing for value engineering and detailed co-ordination
26. Help drive efficiencies on site through detailed co-ordination, value engineering and OSM
27. Apply the latest technology to help deliver digital construction, BIM to site operations

Essential basic experience/qualifications:
28. A degree in Engineering, Architecture or Design
29. A minimum of 3+ years’ experience within a BIM / Services Coordination / MEP Coordination
30. Mechanical or Electrical background and have a proven track record in a similar role
31. Proven ability to lead a team
32. Strong communication and organisational skills
