experience of working with accountancy software and supplier IT portals IT proficient with a particular emphasis on Excel Can work on their own but recognises when engagement with others is needed Desirable Qualification and Experience Hold a third level qualification in Financial/Accountancy/IT field Knowledge of various accounting packages Principal Duties and Responsibilities The duties of the post holder include the following responsibilities: Accounts Preparation Preparation of journals each month for the posting of payroll cost, fixed charges and any other accounting entries needed to ensure complete and accurate accounts.
Assist with preparation of the monthly management accounts including calculation and posting of prepayments, accruals, fixed assets register, bank accounts and other balance sheet control accounts.
Assist management of cash flows and preparation of cash flow forecasts Help maintain adequate segregation of duties within the Finance function Assist with regular internal audit work undertaken by 3 rd party auditor Assist with the annual audit process.
Assist the preparation of the annual budget, prepared from 'ground-up' Payroll Provide cover for holidays and other absences of Payroll Administrator Keep up to date with operation of time and attendance system, payroll system and application of Irish legislation on all aspects of payroll General Undertake other tasks in the Finance department that may be needed to meet department objectives from time to time.
This includes flexibility to develop work experience in areas that support the achievement of a professional accounting qualification Health & Safety To undertake all Health and Safety mandatory training i.e.
Manual Handling, Fire & Safety.
