Role Summary
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is a key member of the Senior Nurse Management Team, responsible for leading and managing all aspects of nursing staff, healthcare assistants, and nursing students across a 24/7 period.
Main Responsibilities:
* To participate in activities that meet the objectives of the Nursing Department.
* To ensure effective delivery of quality person-centred care and services, as well as staff development within the nursing department and organisation.
* To provide assurance to the DON on these matters.
* To be responsible and accountable for all operational aspects of the hospital under remit and management of nursing and HCA staff, including out-of-hours operations.
* To plan and develop patient services in collaboration with other personnel, review systems, and make recommendations for service improvements.
