Job Title: Business Analyst – Payments
Location: Dublin, Ireland (On-site, minimum 1 day per week)
Contract Duration: 6 months (Initial, with possibility of extension)

Job Description:
Our banking client based in Dublin is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst with extensive payments experience to join their team on an initial 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payments and an in-depth understanding of various payment schemes, along with a proven track record of working in an Agile environment.
As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering solutions that support the bank's payment systems and processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development squads, and be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, producing user stories, and ensuring the successful delivery of payment-related projects. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and lead Junior Business Analysts within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Gather and document business requirements for payment systems and processes across multiple payment schemes.
* Work within an Agile framework, producing user stories, managing backlogs, and collaborating with development teams in a squad/scrum environment.
* Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables.
* Provide analysis and recommendations for process improvements and solutions in the payments domain.
* Lead and mentor Junior Business Analysts, guiding them through the BA lifecycle and ensuring quality and consistency in their work.
* Conduct workshops, meetings, and presentations with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide actionable insights.
* Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of payment-related projects, meeting business objectives and deadlines.
Key Requirements:
* Extensive Payments Experience: In-depth knowledge of various payment schemes (e.g., SEPA, SEPA Instant, SWIFT, Faster Payments, etc.) and experience in managing payments projects.
* Agile Experience: Proven experience working in an Agile environment, particularly with user stories, backlog management, and collaborating with development squads/scrum teams.
* Leadership Potential: Ability to lead and mentor Junior Business Analysts, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
* Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.
* Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* On-site Availability: Must be based in Ireland and available to attend the office at least one day per week.
